IRISH NACHOS

Description: A delicious twist on traditional nachos, Irish Nachos swap out tortilla chips for crispy, thinly sliced potatoes. Topped with melted Irish cheddar, salsa, sour cream, and jalapeรฑos, this pub-style snack is perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Cooking Time: 25โ€“30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings


Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper
  • ยฝ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ยฝ cups shredded Irish cheddar cheese
  • ยฝ cup salsa
  • ยฝ cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeรฑo, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 4 strips crispy bacon, crumbled (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven โ€“ Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. Prepare Potatoes โ€“ Toss the thinly sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Bake โ€“ Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Add Cheese โ€“ Sprinkle shredded Irish cheddar over the potatoes and return them to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
  5. Top & Serve โ€“ Remove from the oven and top with salsa, sour cream, jalapeรฑos, green onions, and bacon (if using). Serve immediately.
