IRISH NACHOS

Description: A delicious twist on traditional nachos, Irish Nachos swap out tortilla chips for crispy, thinly sliced potatoes. Topped with melted Irish cheddar, salsa, sour cream, and jalapeños, this pub-style snack is perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Cooking Time: 25–30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings


Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Irish cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup salsa
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 4 strips crispy bacon, crumbled (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven – Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Potatoes – Toss the thinly sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Bake – Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Add Cheese – Sprinkle shredded Irish cheddar over the potatoes and return them to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
  5. Top & Serve – Remove from the oven and top with salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, green onions, and bacon (if using). Serve immediately.
