IRISH CREAM HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur (such as Baileys)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Cocoa powder or chocolate shavings (optional garnish)

 

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Stir occasionally.
  2. Add the chocolate chips and whisk until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the Irish cream liqueur.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream.
  5. Garnish with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings, if desired, and serve immediately.
