IRISH WHISKEY GLAZED CARROTS

Description: Whiskey Glazed Carrots are a delicious side dish that brings a sweet and savory flavor to the table. Ingredients:

  • 500g carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 50g butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Irish whiskey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 

Instructions:

  1. Cook the carrots: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the carrots for about 8-10 minutes, or until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the glaze: In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the honey and whiskey, stirring until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Glaze the carrots: Add the cooked carrots to the pan and toss them in the glaze. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the carrots are well coated and the glaze has slightly caramelized.
  4. Season and serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
