IRISH HONEY-GLAZED SALMON

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 150g each)
  • 2 tbsp Irish honey
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 1 tbsp Irish butter, melted
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (optional, for depth of flavor)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Juice of ยฝ a lemon
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, mustard, melted butter, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon juice.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking tray and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Brush the honey glaze generously over each fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If desired, broil for the last 2 minutes for a deeper caramelization.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as roasted potatoes, steamed greens, or a fresh salad.
