IRISH CREAM TRUFFLES

Description: Rich and decadent truffles infused with the flavors of Irish cream liqueur. These bite-sized treats are perfect for indulging in a little Irish-inspired sweetness.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Irish cream liqueur
  • Cocoa powder or powdered sugar for rolling (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the finely chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a minute to allow the chocolate to melt.
  4. Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the ganache is smooth.
  5. Stir in the Irish cream liqueur until well combined.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours until firm.
  7. Once chilled, use a small scoop or spoon to portion out the ganache and roll it into small truffle-sized balls.
  8. Optional: Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or powdered sugar for a finishing touch and to prevent sticking.
  9. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 15-30 minutes to set.
  10. Serve the Irish Cream Truffles chilled or at room temperature.
  11. Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
