GUINNESS BBQ RIBS

Description: Guinness BBQ Ribs are a delicious and tender dish where ribs are slow-cooked with a tangy and rich Guinness-infused barbecue sauce. The stout beer imparts a deep, malty flavor to the sauce, making these ribs a mouthwatering treat for any barbecue lover.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs (1.4 kg) pork baby back ribs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika


For the Guinness BBQ Sauce:

  • 1 cup Guinness stout beer
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Rub this spice mixture all over the ribs.
  3. Bake the Ribs: Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover tightly with more foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  4. Make the Guinness BBQ Sauce: While the ribs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine the Guinness stout beer, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Grill the Ribs: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil. Brush the ribs generously with the Guinness BBQ sauce.
  6. Grill for Flavor: Place the ribs on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, basting with more sauce and turning occasionally, until they are nicely charred and caramelized.
  7. Serve: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before cutting. Serve with additional Guinness BBQ sauce on the side.
