Cranachan Irish-Style – A Whiskey and Cream Twist on a Scottish Classic

Ingredients
- 75g (¾ cup) rolled oats
- 300ml (1 ¼ cups) double cream
- 3 tbsp Irish cream liqueur
- 2 tbsp Irish whiskey
- 3 tbsp clear honey (preferably Irish)
- 200g (7 oz) fresh raspberries
- Extra honey and raspberries, for garnish
Instructions
Step 1 – Toast the Oats
In a dry frying pan, toast the oats over medium heat until golden and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Step 2 – Whip the Cream
In a large bowl, whip the cream until it forms soft peaks. Gently fold in the Irish cream liqueur, whiskey, and honey.
Step 3 – Assemble the Dessert
In serving glasses, layer raspberries, cream mixture, and toasted oats. Repeat until the glasses are filled, finishing with a swirl of cream on top.
Step 4 – Chill and Serve
Chill for 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra raspberries and a drizzle of honey.
Serving Suggestion
For an extra indulgence, serve with a splash more whiskey on the side or a drizzle of chocolate over the top.
