  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a large skillet, cook the minced meat over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the onions, carrots, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

Prepare the Pastry:

  • Brush the edges with beaten egg, fold the pastry over the filling, and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative finish.
  • Place the pasties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the remaining beaten egg.

Bake the Pasties:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
